New Realism

The second section brings together a selection of works by the New Realists, a group of artists attempting to redefine the relationship between art and reality. Everyday, urban and industrial objects are incorporated into their works, taking the form of “snare-pictures” (Spoerri), accumulation (Arman), torn poster collage (Hains) and assemblage (Raysse). This selection of works culminates with a tribute to Alain Jacquet.
