Rue Réaumur 2

Rue Réaumur 2 has similarities with action painting, demonstrating very distinct white on white brush strokes.
The rather more complicated method used consists of a photograph of a shop window painted with whiting which has been digitised then printed onto canvas using inkjet printing.
However, these different stages do not obliterate what was visible in the street; the artist merely reintegrates an urban painting belonging to the collective unconscious into the museum setting.
